Hope its been a good year so far
Homeless?
Some funny things are happening in my little world right now. The owner of the condo that I rent has someone moving in so I need to move out by Feb. Since I'm unemcumbered right now with a day job I plan to live in LA for the month of February. If I like it I might stay. Maybe. I'll be living at the Custom Hotel if anyone wants to swing on by.

ETrade
I used to have a brokerage account years ago when I worked for an investment company but I liquidated the account to start my company. Now that that I truly am self employed, I need to create some investments so I opened an E-Trade account to buy and sell stocks. Its really confusing I never did it by myself before. But I think it will be better once i figure it all out.

Jewelry
I have a new jewelry collection coming out. Its a perennial like my cocktail rings. This is my chain necklace collection. I designed them to be layered. I was going to do a gold cocktail ring set but I havent gotten around to it yet. Here is a sneek peak:

Cool! I'm coming down Feb 9 and I'll be around for a couple weeks. Staying on Lincoln sorta by Marina Del Ray. I'm not sure when Steve is coming down he is going to try to come down the first week I'm there but he's not sure yet.

HOORAY! You're finally coming! :)

And regarding ETrade, they have done a lot of shifty things lately; my dad transferred his accounts from there, and others I've talked to have done the same. They made up excuses and delayed the transfer of his account and our friends' accounts, so some of them are talking to lawyers for the SEC. Just be careful with them! It might be worth looking at some other options. My dad and our friend Gene went to Fidelity and it's much better as far as them returning phone calls and being very professional and polite.

I use Scottrade but I'm not doing very much with it actively so I'm not sure how it would compare (other than that I'm not getting charged inactivity fees like I was with ETrade).

I know FINALLY, HUH? Feb 9 is when I blow into town and I'll be around for a couple weeks. 2, maybe 3 if I decide to stay longer.

Now that you mention it, I heard similar things about Etrade. I will definely look into a different company. Thanks for the heads up.
